Appalling customer service

Made a claim for 2 carpets and underlay which were damaged as a result of a washing machine which leaked. The washing machine had new pipes fitted by a local company and the leak happened as a result of this work. The company have refused to accept responsibility and so the policy excess is compulsory. The loss adjusters they use were incompetent in handling the claim and the solicitor just accepted the company's denial. This conclusion has taken 9 months, the leak happened a couple of weeks before Christmas and the company used by More Than to dry out the property was unable to supply any equipment because of the time of year. Would not recommend this insurance company as we are now out of pocket and the whole idea of taking out insurance is avoid this happening. Reviewed on: 18th August 2018
