The interest rates on the Santander aren't very exciting at the moment but I do like their online banking feature which allows you to set savings targets and split the account into virtual "pots" - I have a holiday pot, a christmas shopping pot and a rainy day pot :)

I received a letter from HSBC offering to upgrade to premier current account which would then give me a bonus on my loyalty ISA. I now receive an extra £10 per month over and above normal interest on my ISA - certainly worth having.

We took out a mortgage with HSBC when we purchased our house 12 years ago. We took out a 25 year tracker mortgage with a fixed track of BOE base rate plus 1%. With interest rates at historically low levels, we have been able to overpay each month thereby shortening the term of our mortgage.
