Balance Transfer

Initial application process to acceptance was very slick, however it was a bit old fashioned to wait for a paper copy of a code to let you into their app. Other than that, little effort on my part to complete the transfer apart from postal delays. Reviewed on: 30th September 2019

Simple stuff

Everything can be done via the app, from account opening to tracking savings amounts. It took a couple of minutes to open the account / set up a regular payment. Makes everything so easy when everything can be done in one place. Reviewed on: 6th November 2018

No app & a lot of hard work...

Although applying for the account online took a couple of minutes, it took nearly 3 weeks for the paperwork to arrive & activating the card / signing up for online banking was more hard work than it needed to be. I do like the text reminders for payments but this was one of those cards where I watched daily for the payment to leave my account (even after I checked over the phone & via social media) - I just didn't trust that it was in place. No news is good news

Recently went through a mortgage review & although there were long periods with no interaction / updates, I did periodically receive a text telling me everything was on track - perhaps a few more updates would have been good to avoid me calling for an update. Other than that, it was a seamless process with little effort from me. Reviewed on: 6th November 2017

Multi Cover

Renewed under the new multi cover banner - in the past 6 months I've transferred 2 x car insurance & my home insurance to Admiral - cannot be beaten on price & the service has been brilliant. Proof will be when I come to renew in May next year, but for now I'm very happy. Reviewed on: 9th October 2017

Managed to sort a balance transfer, via their app, in a matter of minutes. I did have a couple of issues & would recommend using their social media team over their call centre as they're much better Reviewed on: 28th December 2016

Just over a year into my mortgage; I pay it every month & no one bothers me - exactly how I like it. I get the odd email from time to time & use the discounts when I need them, but other than that I like that I'm left to myself Reviewed on: 15th November 2016

Great offer & customer service

Great service through-out the length of my 0% interest period. My most recent offer has come to an end & the majority of my documentation has been encouraging me to clear my balance or leave to avoid interest charges; quite refreshing for a bank to do this. Avoid!!

Possibly in the middle of receiving the worst service I've ever experienced. No ownership of issues, no updates, no sense of urgency, no help & I have to resort to "complaining" on Twitter every time I want to talk to someone (who then tell me to ring the person I have been trying to ring / email without success!!) Easiest Current Account I've Used

Switched to Nationwide just over a year ago & wished I had done this sooner. I have total control of my money via their app / online platform (this includes my Current Account, Savings & Credit Card); something I've never had with previous banks Reviewed on: 3rd November 2016
