My wife and I ( 78yrs and 75yrs ) went on a coach holiday to Killarney in Ireland . My wife had the great misfortune to suffer a fall on a lunch stop on our way to our hotel in .killarney . She was examined at Killarney Hospital and referred to Tralee .
It was a bad break that required surgery and a three day stay in hospital. Despite having receipts for 1 doctors initial referral 50 euros. 2 taxi fares , all transport was at our cost 300 euros . 3
Necessary drugs 30 euros . and various incidentals . Nationwide were were completely unhelpful, and in short we will not receive a penny . It took less than 5 minutes on the phone to take our annual premium , and possibly over three phone calls approx 45 minutes of placing obstacles at every point possible. Even to the point of saying that we must provide them with a ferry ticket which none of us had . It was done in a party of 48 people . I am tempted to use some Very colourful language , but I will close by saying that at least Dick Turpin wore a mask .
