Does what it says on the tin. Sadly no smartphone app, yet!

In the 15 months since opening the account the account has performed fine & on the occasion I've been in to the Bolton branch the staff have been super. Called customer services 3 times & they were superb, sorted out my very slight issues, one of them was down to me being a complete t1t. VM change their card supplier from Visa to MasterCard & the new card was a contactless card, of which I didn't want. So I called CS asked if that feature could be disabled. I was advised that at the time it could not but the adviser did tell me that a lot of people were asking the same. He put my name down to be advised of when the ability to switch off the contactless feature was available. A few months later and I was notified & it was disabled. Reviewed on: 5th November 2018

A friend of mine advised me about Monzo so I signed up for an account on the Friday night at 23:30. Within 72 hours I had been accepted, ID all sorted & the card was behind the door Tuesday afternoon. As for how the account performs, that's 10 out of 10. Every transaction pops up on my smartphone as soon as I've swiped the card / keyed in the PIN. Payment into the account by my customers is instant. So far, & six months in, not one issue! The big high street banks are failing people so I can only see Monzo going from strength to strength. :-) Reviewed on: 5th November 2018

Beyond dire, getting any response is impossible

DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, SIGN UP FOR A POCKIT ACCOUNT. The only response to my query was responded to 9 days after submitting the query. After giving up using the online message system, 23 days, yes, I am a patient man, I had also tried calling them on their telephone number to no avail. 137 calls (5 - 7 calls a day over the 23 days ) & NOT ONE of them was answered. How on earth these ba5tard5 are allowed to trade is beyond belief !!! Hopefully, & sooner rather than later, they'll end up going down the pan with the likes of Wonga! Reviewed on: 5th November 2018
