AVOID AT ALL COST

Was covered for accidental damage for my laptop, and then managed to spill a cup of tea on it a week later. It took *2 years* for them to honour the claim. They confiscated the laptop, put pressure on me to access passwords in a stupid attempt to make up that I had damaged the laptop before the date I stated. This was entirely supposition and it's fortunate I know about how computers function so I could point out that they were lying. In the end, after numerous, ignored complaints, they honoured the claim. By this time, the laptop was worth half of what it was when I handed it in. I spent hundreds of hours on the phone to these phoneys. A particularly nasty insurance rep called Nick Judge decided that he was the personal vanguard of the cabal of con artist insurers, and he worked tirelessly to ensure that my claim was diverted and slowed down. It was often his responsibility to get back to me with updates of the progress of the claim and he simply didnt. So if you want an insurer that provides no insurance, that will stab you in the back rather than honouring their end of the deal - choose Uinsure! It should be named Uninsure. Because you will essentially have no insurance at all. Reviewed on: 21st January 2021

I Was cold called by Uinsure and I stupidly didn't hang up, the guy was very convincing and I let him give me a QUOTE, He told me not to do anything and review the QUOTE when it came through, after reading a lot of bad reviews of claims and speaking to my current insurance company i knew I was not going to go ahead with the Uinsure policy, however the same day they emailed me the policy details, I emailed the same people back and told them to cancel as I had NEVER agreed to take out the policy, no reply, 4 days later I emailed again, they replied 2 days later saying they had passed it to the sales rep I had spoken to, no reply again 2 weeks later. Now a letter demanding payment plus a £30 fee, the tone of the letter is very threatening, PLEASE Stay away Reviewed on: 14th November 2020

Appalling customer service

I insured my building and contents with Uinsure for 18 months. A couple of months ago we started work on a loft conversion. I am aware that I needed to advise the insurer as to my plans when they were finalised but with a lot of messing about with the planning and building work it slipped my mind until partway through the build. As soon as I realised I called Uinsure to let them know of our plans. I advised that we were underway with our work and the agent said this was fine and they would send a questionnaire for me to complete. I received this, completed with all the additional documentation requested and posted it back. After a 3 week wait I chased them up and was told they received nothing. They sent me anouther questionnaire this time by email which I immediately populated and returned. Again the agent did not seem to think there was a problem. Today I have received a curt letter advising me that they have cancelled my insurance back dated to 2 weeks ago and had they known we were carrying out the planned work they would not have covered us. Well 18 months ago we had not even considered the loft conversion. No communication or conversation for an honest mistake on my part - nothing malicious and I was prepared to be advised of any premium increase. Would not touch these guys again and I now need to advise future insurers that I have had a policy cancelled. Reviewed on: 6th February 2018
