Attempting to set up a business account. On the face of it this seemed like a really good idea but having weeks later not completed the process I would not recommend this to anyone! The staff on the phone appear very helpful - however it has been a nightmare setting this account up for the following reasons They took 2 weeks to send through an application They lost my application even though it was handed in with proof of posting at a post office I had to go to Picadilly Circus to hand in a second application which wasted 1/2 a day This still took 2 weeks to process The account opening letter had a mistake in the account number which I gave to a mortgage company causing a lot of hassle and inconenience I received am email with another reference on it and wasted 1/2 and hour on the phone until I was told to call business banking on Monday - so the business banking has really limited hours unlike other banks I was told to make a payment to activate the account and that was returned and failed to activate the account even though it was to the correct account number When I applied for an account I specifically applied for on-line banking (as otherwise what would be the point of having an account living in London when the branches are in Yorkshire!!!!!!!!!!) I was told that was fine someone would call me. No-one did. I spoke to them several times and now have to fill in a load of new paperwork. So the whole thing has turned into a joke - only these people are supposed to be entrusted with my money!! Reviewed on: 19th December 2016
