I accidentally paid my credit card bill twice. On realising my mistake I asked Nationeide to return the overpayment to my bank. They refused to do that and instead said they could either issue a cheque, pay into my current account with Nationwide (I don’t have one) or tecredit by direct debit if I had paid by direct debit(O hadn’t). I cannot hope nferstand why Nationwide could not credi the money by the same method it had been paid, or BACCS.
The Finacial Ombudsman has found in Nationeide’s favour, surprise surprise!
So be very careful how you pay your credit card bill and don’t not overpay it.
