I moved to First Direct via their website. I didn't need to visit a branch. They changed my account over using the 7-day-switchover and everything went smoothly. I love how I telephone and I get through to an actual person. No pressing numbers for different departments and no foreign call centres or getting disconnected. They also provide an overdraft without any charges. I'm so grateful.
