After being insured with ARAG for years I used them in relation to a claim for professional negligence. They promised lots and delivered absolutely nothing.
They authorised a solicitor to apply to court to apply for my case file from a solicitor refusing to hand it over. They then changed their mind and referred me to the Ombudsman if I wanted it. The solicitor appointed ignored evidence and said he could not proceed without my file.
I offered to pay for the court process to obtain my file as ARAG dragged their feet before refusing to apply.
Keep well away from this company. They do not act in your interests and are a disgrace.
