Chorley Building Society always write to me when I apply to open a new account, asking me to telephone them. There is never a printed name or proper signature on the letter, just savings team with a squiggle, so I cannot ask for a particular person. When I telephone nobody seems to know why. Also, I strongly object to give my employers details and my annual income on the application form. This information is only required by HMRC. Reviewed on: 23rd July 2019
