I got a Halifax Clarity Card to use on holiday abroad, so I wouldn’t be charged foreign exchange fees. I was really pleased to find that the exchange rate is actually better than I could get for changing my cash in advance, so avoids having to change too much cash and then lose out if I have any left.

I was so pleased that I had taken out house insurance with Hiscox when my house was subject to a flash flood on "Thunder Thursday" in 2012. Their response was fast and efficient once I phoned them, allocating a claims assessor and dealing very fairly with our claim.
