The math doesn't add up !!

I have a savings accounts with Barclays and I was just monitoring how they calculate interest. I tried to check the calculation and to my surprise it was not matching. When I tried in all the possible ways of calculating interest and it didn't match to what I was getting, I called customer care. I asked them to help me understand the calculation and I was told that the calculation is all correct because the rep was sitting somewhere is far east and had a pre-fed calculator to check the math. I requested to explain me the formula but he failed. Then I asked for a manager and when i spoke to the manager, I came to know that the 0.90% APY is actually not 0.90% APY its 0.888896% APY and that my calculation on the amount is right. Getting reliable service from 5 years. Although the staff is untrained. If you go 3 times for the same reason and speak with 3 different staff member they say 3 different stories

Don't go with the Cheapest

I too have an annual travel insurance policy with Admiral. I have been insured with them for 12 years and had 2 claims for cancellation ( close family death and personal illness).Once I provided the proofs claims were settled with no hassle. Insurance is not about cost.It is about how you are treated in the unlikely event of a claim.Do not go for the cheapest. Reviewed on: 24th December 2015

A third party car reversed into me, I did every thing right, got details, the third party admitted it was there fault, got witness Details, unfortunately , after the initial quote, via claims fast, (who have been fantastic by the way,) but because the repair was more than the cost of repair, I was past to Ageas, they are rude unhelpful , and plainly not interested, after my first call to them I was breaking my heart , they were so horrid , now because the policy is in my husband name and I am only the named driver they won't even speak to me about it , even though he has already given permission on two occasions, so I have no idea where my car is as it was taken from the original garage , to an Ageas approved garage, all my personal belongings are still in the car. I have a terrible feeling I am going to be left very badly out of pocket by this experience. Reviewed on: 24th December 2015
