We have a Halifax Cashback Credit Card and a direct debit set up to pay it back in full every month. We've never paid a penny in interest and the cash we get back is in the hundreds of pounts.

My son has been on my policy as joint driver since he passed his test at age 19. Comparing what I pay with what friends in similar situations pay to other companies, I'd say Direct Line offers great value.

I don't often ring the bank - I reckon if I keep my head down they'll not notice my occasional financial indescretions - but when I do ring, I always get a courteous response. They've helped me out of many a hole and I've never had any cause to complain about the people, the website or the service in general. Well done, First Direct.
