We have had Direct Line home insurance for a few years now. We had to claim one year when there was a terrible storm and the roof tiles were blown off the house. They responded very quickly and paid out without any trouble.

I have had a joint current account with RBS for over 30 years and throughout that time we have never had any problems. In fact they let us open 2 current accounts so my bills could be controlled separately from my day-to-day living expenses. When I needed to open another account to put money into trust, as instructed to do so in a will, they were the only bank that were interested in letting me do it! Their online banking service is really easy to use.
