Recently took my second mortgage with the Hanley. I was initially attracted by the most competitive rates for the type of mortgage I wanted. However, what soon became apparent dealing with the Hanley was that I had a readily available single point of contact for all my mortgage questions and needs. I find this very unusual nowadays when dealing with financial institutions but the positive difference it makes to the customer cannot be over-stated. Several years later I moved and needed another mortgage and was taken care of by the same mortgage advisor who remembered me And gave me the same standard of exceptional customer service. I would therefore like to mention Jane Longmore personally and say a big thank you for making the process as painless as possible x 2.
I only have 1 point of very minor feedback for the Hanley. It is utter trivia in the grand scheme of a mortgage but in the interest of offering constructive Help: My solicitors did not know that the transfer fee would be deducted from my mortgage when deposited into their holding account. This resulted in a slight delay on the day of completion because the expected totals didn’t quite add up. Easily solved with a phone call and paying the difference. Very minor but useful feedback I hope.
