After deciding to close my current account I went into the bank and asked for advice. I was given a form to complete and was told that was all I had to do. If that had been the case this would've been a glowing review. However 8 months later I had a letter stating my household insurance had automatically been paid for. Thinking this was impossible as the account was closed I went into barclays to check this out. Although there was a note on the system that I had completed the form to close the account and it had been processed they still allowed this transaction to go through. They told me that they could not reverse it and for a brucy bonus I had used an unauthorised overdraft and would be charged. After 2 hours of arguing my point they finally agreed to drop the charges but nothing else. Oh and they said they would close the account AGAIN. There was no sympathy from staff members or manager.

Travel insurance for me is always a little daunting, after all this is protecting my family after all.
Whilst looking for a quote I found there website very easy to use. From entering my details to seeing a summary of what it was I was actually purchasing. Prior to buying I was presented with a very clear summary of what was covered and for how much value. It then gave the option to expand, (this is usually at the point of where it may as well be written in Chinese! ) I was pleasently surprised that not only could I read everything without a sonic microscope I actually could understand it too. This has been the first time that I have confidently bought travel insurance knowing exactly what I am covered for.
