Good rate of interest on a 12 month fixed rate saver...

Good rate of interest on a 12 month fixed rate saver last year - was going to take out money but offered another good rate for the next 12 months so decided to stay and signed up for another 12 months. Reviewed on: 28th January 2024

Decent Interest Rate

Opened a current account and have input £3,000 for which I will receive 3% interest - guaranteed up to 01.04.19. Don't need to pay anything in monthly, don't need any Direct Debits. Great. Whats not to like.! Suspended now as too much interest. Still I was lucky!! Reviewed on: 4th March 2017

Easy-Peasy

I've switched using the Current Account Switch Service, including two active Direct Debits, I will receive a £50 M&S gift card. But that’s not all. I will receive an extra £5 each calendar month as long as a minimum of £1,000 is paid into your current account and two Direct Debits remain active – for a period of 24 months following the switch. I will have £170 to spend in M&S on whatever I choose. Also, because I have a current account I can save up to £250 per mth for 12 mths at 5% interest and I can continue to open further accounts at the end of the 12 month period offering the same again. Not bad in these times of austerity. Reviewed on: 4th March 2017

Money for nothing!

I have the above account - even though the interest rate has dropped to 1.5% I still get a good deal as I also get cashback on essentials including Council Tax, fuel, water & all phones - mobile and landline. I get a monthly statement through the post too so I can check all is OK. Would certainly recommend. Reviewed on: 24th December 2016

Great information for free

Signed up for this following problems with the TalkTalk hack earlier in the year. Great site - I can log in when I want to check that all my financial stuff is 'hunky-dory' I receive an email when something has been added to my footprint - when I changed Fuel supplier 2 months ago an email was sent to me to alert me. Happy to use - can't believe its free - very unusual in this day and age! Reviewed on: 22nd May 2016

Monthly nice little earner

I have one of these accounts - I need to pay in £750 per month and have 2 x Direct Debits coming out each month. In return, for staying in credit I get £5 per month credit from Halifax. That buys me 3 x books from my local charity shop to expand my bookshelf. . Whats not to like! Reviewed on: 28th March 2016

Just been online comparing prices for the above. Halifax offering both with £50 cashback and extra 10% discount as I bank online. Able to pay monthly at exact price for annual payment. Great offer, had no hesitation in buying. Whats not to like! In these days, of little, if any pay rises. Thanks Halifax Reviewed on: 23rd August 2015

Have had this account for several years now - its so easy - pay in £750 per month, have 2 x direct debits and as long as I stay in credit during the whole month even by just 1p I get a £5 reward direct into my account the following month. A no-brainer - what's not to like. Reviewed on: 23rd August 2015
