Hastings Direct promise great rates, great customer service and ongoing support with your policy. Unfortunately they don't deliver even with their high prices. I have had issues with renewal which took me over two weeks to sort. A company to avoid at all costs.

Halifax is great with most things, but customer service in branch isn't their forte. They are unhelpful and brusque, compared to telephone banking where they cannot do enough to help. In branch its too much hassle to do even the littlest thing!!!!!

Everything is automated and takes ages to get through to a voice. Where pre-sales are great, post-sales service is abysmal.
