Disastrous customer service.

I switched to More Than following a better quote than my existing car insurance. I admitted a recent claim - this being for a stone chipped windscreen during the previous year. The screen was repaired but this proved unsatisfactory so as requested by the windscreen firm, I contacted them again and they did as promised and replaced the screen. I reported this as a single claim. However sadly it had been reported as two claims in error by the previous insurer. More Than told me I had misled them. I explained the situation. They saw fit to demand further money despite my explanation and then withdrew my insurance. This left my car uninsured. It took three months before I received a letter setting the facts out and reinstating my insurance, and also stating that I was in no way duty bound to admit withdrawal of insurance in future car insurance applications. The offshore customer relations were just appalling. There was a profound lack of listening and understanding and all this confounded by a language barrier. The only way I was able to get anywhere was to insist on speaking to a higher authority - something which I do not find comes naturally to me. Never again! Reviewed on: 7th September 2017

I switched to More Than since their quote was cheaper than my existing car insurance. During the previous year I had a stone chip in my windscreen. It was initially repaired but later had to be replaced. I stated I had made a claim when switching to More Than. However although this was all bound up in a single claim they saw it as two separate claims - it had been recorded in error as such by the previous insurer. More Than failed to listen - partly obscured by language barriers (Offshore call centre) and finally withdrew my insurance. It took three months for them to write a letter of apology and reinstate my insurance stating that this withdrawal need not be mentioned in future insurance applications! During this three months my car was uninsured and therefore off road! Fortunately I had another car so was able to keep working. Reviewed on: 7th September 2017

Top rate cover and very helpful staff.

I have explored cheaper insurance but when I discussed the situation with the Caravan Club they politely pointed out the extra risks I would be taking. The cost difference was not great and the risk the minimal saving would have involved was out of proportion. Reviewed on: 7th September 2017
