Just renewed M&S Monthly Saver, getting 5% pa on £250 per month (works out at just under 3% when averages out). Would be 5-star if they let me put £3k in from get go. Reviewed on: 27th March 2017

Won't let me switch!!!

Trying to switch a joint Santander 123 to Halifax (to get £100 bonus), but keep rejecting my request as they claim new account is not joint (even though Halifax website says it is). tried ringing helpline - no answer, no branch near me. Very disappointing. Reviewed on: 24th December 2016

suspended card

2
Asda suspended my card, last Friday, as concerned about a purchase made with it. Website said I could call on Saturdays but when tried to ring on Saturday morning, message says only available Monday - Friday 9-5.. So in limbo all weekend and further transactions put through before/on Friday card has been declined (such as paying for daughter's birthday meal). Understand importance of avoiding fraud/protecting customers BUT give me someone to talk to when I need to!!!!!!! Reviewed on: 22nd May 2016

Great bonuses

Just taken out an M&S Credit Card - got 2000 points (worth £20) for signing up via a M&S advisor, £5 worth of points following first use (spent £1.55 on "reduced to clear" food items), no interest payable for 19 months (just pay "minimum repayment" per month by DD). Only fault - not contactless. Reviewed on: 21st April 2016

Difficult to track money!!!

Switch ISAs to Post Office (to get best rate available on Instant Access (1.41%), but difficult/time consuming to transfer money in/out or to follow my funds on a statement. Reviewed on: 14th August 2015

Top rate of interest

5
A great account, offering 4% on £5K. Easy to avoid £5 monthly fee (by having £1500 paid into account per month from non-Lloyds sources - we transfer money between Lloyds and Santander to do this). Lloyds quite happy to add wife's name to account (as she is a non-income taxpayer), so half of interest paid gross (so we get 3.6% overall net - easily beats ISAs!!!) Reviewed on: 14th August 2015
