For several years now Tesco bank comes in at the cheapest price with the conditions i want - i.e. £0 voluntary excess, low compulsory excess, etc. I've never had to claim on insurance so I cant comment on the ease of this for any insurer, but for me getting a cheap deal with a name I know is important to me
