HSBC applied £1000 chargeback to business card - I had to visit the branch twice and after a month managed to get them to put the £1000 back on the card account then take it out again and then pop it back in again. Redid online banking security process twice and now when they ask for my sort code, account number and dob the response it these details are not recognised. Oh and now they have blocked the card (fraudulent transaction) - fair enough and sent me a new card, new details, etc, BUT IT IS BLOCKED TOO! Will have to visit the branch again and listen to them dialing the same number I have to dial (no internal comms ?!?!?) and wait for the same menu etc etc. Utterly unbelieveable. In most cases to date when I get through on a call back on the phone I am passed to different parties on average three times. Each time requests authorisation and then passes me on again - I have been with HSBC 21 years and wil be moving to NatWest - free online service that moves your accounts in seven days!
