Most annoying car insurance company I've ever come across

My car was hit while it was parked. The accident was witnessed. The driver admitted liability for the accident. Details were exchanged. Having fully comprehensive insurance and wanting my car repaired ASAP I started a claim on my insurance company (SAGA) giving them all the details and proceeded to get three quotes. After about two days I received a telephone call from the third party's insurer who agreed that their client had admitted liability, and would like to deal directly with me. Because I had already started the claim process I said I preferred to claim via SAGA. Quotes were sent to SAGA. I heard nothing from SAGA, no phone call, no e-mail. After about a week I called them, a frustrating experience taking far too long, in which they blamed some other department for the delay, and did precisely nothing. This cycle continued for about another 7 weeks. No communication at all from SAGA. My recommendation, don't use SAGA for anything. Reviewed on: 28th July 2023

Avoid SAGA car insurance. Better still avoid all SAGA products

My car was hit while parked, over 6 weeks ago. The person who hit it accepted responsibility, his insurer was happy to pay out. (they called me a few days after the accident!) My own insurer, SAGA, has done very little, failed completely to keep me informed and take forever to answer their telephones. Today the garage advised me that they had received authority to repair my car a few days ago. News to me. Tomorrow I go away on holiday, it will be without my car. I am not pleased. No stars at all, completely useless company

Car hit while parked. The third party admitted fault. I have fully comp. insurance with SAGA. I originate a claim and provide all details requested. I hear nothing from SAGA, no telephone calls, no emails. I did get a call from the third partys insurer! I contact SAGA again, they take forever to answer the phone. They request more photographs which I supply. Still no responses from them. I contact them again, and they want yet more photos of the inside of the car, which they did not ask for originally. A simple replacement of a damaged wing that I expected to be fixed within two weeks still waiting on SAGA. Never buy any of their products. They appear totally incompetant.
