Last year I tried Starling and didn't like them. Then closed my account
I've decided to try them again and I must say, the change is unreal. Support is fast and slick, the app has clearly been worked on and is such an improvement over what it was last time I tried it. Really a great experience now for a challenger bank!

Started off great, but recently support has gone downhill and the app is more and more unfinished. Features are just rushed out. The Monzo Care has gone.

Fast to get started, and support on live chat is really live chat and very helpful. All of this with no fees really makes it the obvious choice.

Reliability isn't quite 100%. Random downtime is a bit annoying
The app is also very scarce and missing standard features (such as editing a standing order, for example) and no security for the app is disappointing
They seem to focus more on flashy features rather than security and basics (we have nice badges that nobody else will see, but no locking for the app)
Customer Support is hit and miss depending on who you speak to, and complaints usually result in a "goodwill gesture" to pay you to shut up
