I took some gold jewellery into Ramsdens Pawnbrokers in Clydebank to sell. One item was 18ct gold and weighed 14g, the other item 9ct gold and weighed 6g, (both fully hallmarked) was offered £100, when I refused she then offered £150, then £200 in a matter of seconds! I took my items away, later for insurance purposed I had one of the items valued, it valued at £2500. I realise this is what it would cost you to replace the item new but what a difference - £100 I was first offered!!!
