On transferring to Santander I was extremely pleased with the service provided and the smoothness of the transfer. The difference between Santander and RBS is night and day, especially with the online banking service and especially the interest rates provided. The only disappointing thing is that although the national rate of interest has gone up Santander have not repaid their customers original faith when joining and returned the interest rate to 3% as was originally advertised nor have they reduced the £5 per month fee back to £3 per month.

RBS have done nothing to improve how they represent themselves to their customers. The accounts which they offer are pathetic in comparison to other banks. I have now left the bank due to their poor customer service and the closure of my local branch.
