John Lewis Home Insurance - Not a good experience on first ever claim

John Lewis Home Insurance 'Premier' Cover - it is our first Claim ever made on any Home Insurance by us with any company, and has not been a good experience at all so far! Been 6 plus weeks since we made the Claim due to water leak in Bathroom: has been a catalogue of poor and often conflicting information, numerous and sometimes even conflicting information from contractors in contact with us. And all this before any repair work even commences! Not a good experience and not one we would recommend. Only by going direct and making a formal complaint to John Lewis Head Office did things start to get going, but we are now back to conflicting information and apparent confusion all round again. We just hope that when repair work finally happens, that its all it should be? Would not recommend service so far at all, and this is supposed to be the top 'Premier' cover (although it is not actually John Lewis anyway, you are dealing direct with Royal Sun Alliance). We expected and had hoped for better service with a John Lewis product! Reviewed on: 17th November 2016
