still best for interest

If you have some saving and direct debits(most people have them) this account is still the best to beat any inflation. 1.50% interest rate plus cashback on your direct debit which most of time breaks even with the account fee of £5. They let me down this time

I have been very happy with direct line but lately I was very disappointed the way they are dealing with my claim. Lack of communication and I am feeling being ignored by the company. There is no way to make an official complaint on their website and after staying on line I was told to write an email to ....company who knows what??!!! FRUSTRATING......!!!!! sort it out...please.......YOU NEED TO LISTEN TO YOUR CUSTOMERS Reviewed on: 24th May 2016

good service but way too expensive

they are offering a decent service but in my opinion it is far too expensive for what you really get. You can access the same basic service by having a Barclaycard credit card and paying nothing. It would be better if the prices would reflect the service provided. Mark Reviewed on: 7th May 2016

Best cash back credit card

I have been using nationwide credit for few years now and I can say this is the best cash back credit card on market. It gives some incentive if you are new customer and then 0.50% whixh sounds like little but it adds a lot in a year. I have received £100 last year. The customer service is superb. Very good company although they are applying charges like the others

I have been with direct line for about 5 years and they have good although I have been experiencing some problems lately. I have been involved in an car accident where the other party declares that he is "reversed and he felt a bump to find out that I was reversing at the same time". It s clear that he was not even looking as he felt a bump!!!. My insurance is trying to make me pay for the half. I feel that they are not defending but they rather close the case for their benefit. Worst customer service ever

I took out a credit card with them a year ago as there was a no fee foreign purchase. The credit is useful when you go on holiday and I found that the application on line was nice and smooth.There is only one problem!!!! As soon as I needed to speak to them directly via call centre,the service was dreadful. I wanted to cancel my account and after several calls my account was still open and still was getting statement from them with £2 credit which I have requested to be sent to me by cheque. I have still not received it and waiting for a confirmation of the closure. This has been at least 6 months. I have written to them a few weeks ago hoping to solve the matter and Yesterday I have received a respond which says my card has been blocked. I could not believe it.....!!!! However I have called them again and this time I was promised that the matter has been resolved....let`s hope and see Reviewed on: 4th November 2015

amazing experience

I have recently switched my account to halifax and service I have received was outstanding. Every direct debit and credit moved to my new account in 7 days as promised without any problem and I was welcomed with £125. On top I get £5 a month for my credit...not too bad Reviewed on: 24th April 2015
