I've been with Chip since the start. The fact that I'm still there says lots about the big range of competitive & unique products, the excellent customer support & the innovative easy to use app. The savings market is very competitive & constantly changing. Chip have managed to evolve their offerings to stay ahead. I'm enjoying being a part of what Chip makes feel like a family.

The easy access part of Chip is providing a leading rate of 3.55%
However, the only way to get this is by using the manual save option.
If you use the auto save function it will cost you 45p per transaction.
Also with regular recurring saves the charge is 25p each time.
So, a couple of recurring saves a week could cost around £45 a year!
Therefore, if you opt for the lowest level autosaves the charges could cost more than the interest earned!!

I have been a not inconsiderable investor for some years.
Back in mid March, I decided to pull out as I would need cash to support me through the pandemic.
I was informed that my investment would be returned within a week.
When that didn't happen, I was told it may take a month.
Over time, investors have been fed and lot of positive PR, but few real facts - and certainly no money.
So here I am, some 4.5 months later and still no cash.
Due to a change in Ratesetter's fact reporting, I'm now told there are over 1,500 people ahead of me in the queue.
In fact they are still in the process of returning investments to people from requests on March 13 - a date that's moved only 1 day in several weeks.
All a bit of a frustrating & worrying puzzle.

I now have multiple products with Aviva - home, car, pension & investment.
The reason is that I have always found them to be reliable, obtainable, responsive, professional & competitive.
When you contact them by phone, you can quickly get through to the right person who is also empowered to make decisions.
The website is easy to navigate and all my policies are viewable under the one convenient MyAviva umbrella.
Regarding my investment product, despite the market turmoil created by the pandemic, the value has held up very well. It reacts just as quickly to upward trends as the reverse.
Aviva sets the standards that some other companies should seek to match.

I love Chip. It just chips away at your bank account taking those little sums you just won't miss whilst giving you a return of up to 5%pa at the same time. But you can always get some, or all, of your money back any time you wish or adjust savings levels. In fact you have total control over everything that happens & the reporting functionality is excellent too. Your money is safe too as it's ring fenced with a major High Street bank & therefore covered by the FSCS. Arguably the most friendly app out there. The way it communicates makes you feel you are interacting with real people. This is 21st centrury banking at its best - and will only get better I believe.
