Brilliant customer service over the phone

I phoned Chorley BS to ask if I could transfer my existing ISA to a different ISA with a higher interest rate. I was supported by Tracey who was brilliant throughout. She went through some of the ISA options with me and then assisted me with creating a Chorley Online account whilst on the phone. She knew exactly which screen I was on, was able to tell me where to click on the screen and took actions on her side to make the registration process quick and easy. Tracey gave comprehensive information on the next steps of my ISA transfer and also informed me how to request a change of address. She was very clear with her instructions and remained patient and friendly throughout. Exactly what I was looking for! Reviewed on: 22nd December 2023

Just wanted to champion Chorley Building Society (and Joyce), for their fantastic customer service. No corporate nonsense and delaying tactics re withdrawals - just good old fashioned assistance. I recommend them to any investor for this reason alone. Reviewed on: 18th December 2023

Too many unnecessary numbers

The registration > log-in> withdrawal process has too many steps and verifications. Have never in over 50 registrations been asked for my Nat. Ins number as part of log-in! At least 5 different numbers or codes needed Reviewed on: 8th December 2023

Help with getting online

I had problems getting online with Chorley, I had forgotten the password I had nominated when I opened the account. This was exacerbated by some IT problems the Chorley were having. Their staff were really helpful and friendly and got it sorted for me in a day or two. Really refreshing to have good customer service and a friendly voice. Reviewed on: 1st November 2023

Excellent Customer Service

I had to call the building Society as there were problems with a new savings account. What makes things difficult is that I have a nuerological condition that can sometimes get in the way of everyday task. The call was handled by Amanda, who took me step by step through what I needed to do. Amanda was very patient and waited for me to complete each step of the process which probably took longer than someone without the issues I have. I am grateful for her patience. Not great

Opened an ISA account, then had all sorts of issues logging in. Thought it might be to do with cookies, there was no option to reject and the 'read more' took me to a google search page! This appears to have been fixed now but not very reassuring at the time. Went elsewhere on a lower interest rate. Shame Reviewed on: 25th October 2023

Superb Customer service by your staff

Had to make a repeat phone call this morning 25/10/2023 to try and gain access to my new product which I could not access. A previous member of staff in my first call the day before told me that your 'IT' department were experiencing issues with the acceptance of the OTAC code? and that she would call me back with a resolution which did not happen hence my repeat call today to the lovely Georgina. What can I say other than thank you! Georgina you are a real star and credit to the company you work for. From the moment you took my call this morning, you listened, you reassured me and you resolved the issue efficiently without fuss and with the upmost professionalism. Offering to remain on the call with me whilst guiding me through re-registration was both extremely helpful and demonstrates your desire to provide the upmost and best customer care you clearly consider necessary. Confirming everything with follow up messages reinforced the reassurance you clearly achieved during the call with me. I had the pleasure of dealing with Julie and Helen when my Isa failed to transfer. They offered advice, rang me back as promised and provided me with valuable information to assist me in my complaint. Chorley also answer their phones swiftly unlike others. Reviewed on: 11th October 2023

It was an absolute pleasure dealing with Tracy this afternoon regarding my new loyalty a/c. She was friendly helpful and knowledgeable, and took me through what I had to do step by step online with patience. Great service

My experience with Chorley has been fantastic. When applying for a debt consolidation mortgage the underwriting process was great. The underwriter looked at the bigger picture and I was able to explain my situation fully. I can honestly say that this mortgage changed my life and I will always be grateful to Chorley for this. Once the mortgage was agreed, the admin team always responded promptly to any questions I had and I was made to feel like a valued customer and not just a number. Reviewed on: 25th September 2023

My wife and I had a very frustrating experience with the online services today but Jenny Corrigan was extremely patient and helpful

initially unable to log on, then needed a money transfer authority approved right away. Wasn't called back by them who promised to, but when I got through to Jenny she sorted out everything for us both. Reviewed on: 22nd September 2023
