Flexibility within the product/easy to use app

After seeking help from a professional HSBC came out the best for my circumstances in terms of a 5 yr fixed mortgage. I like the fact the paperwork that was sent through explained in detail and also a brief summary of what the terms of the mortgage were and how much I could overpay each year. The app is easy to use and it is useful to keep track of how the mortgage payments are impacting on the amount borrowed. Reviewed on: 20th March 2023

Easy to open account, friendly staff

The State Bank of India opened a savings account for me as I had opened an ISA with them and the yearly interest would be placed in the savings account. I received notification by post that the savings account had been opened. I was also provided with details to enable me to use online banking. The saving account is easy to use and I have been able to transfer money from the savings account to a current account at another bank easily. I would open another account with State Bank of India in future, especially as their customer service whilst I have been with them (18 months) has been good. Reviewed on: 24th December 2016

I opened a help to buy ISA with Halifax just under a year ago. I completed the process online and it took less than half an hour in total. It was easy to set up a standing order from my current account into the help to buy ISA and I can easily keep track of my account via online banking. I would open other accounts with Halifax based on my experience with them. Reviewed on: 24th December 2016

Easy to use website/easy to transfer money in/out

I signed up for a savings account with Natwest online. I found their website easy to use and the account was set up within minutes. I also use NatWest's mobile app - I find this very accessible. I can transfer money in and out of the savings account easily and can see at a glance how much I have in my account. Although interest rates are low this is across the board with mainstream banks therefore I will not mark them down because of this (written in August 2016) Reviewed on: 30th August 2016

I have been lending through Ratesetter for a few months. I find the website easy to use and the lending process is explained in a clear way. I have been making around £100 a month in interest since I started lending with them. It is easy to choose whether you reinvest the capital and interest when a person pays back a portion of the loan each month with interest. You can also choose to reinvest only the capital. Although they are not covered by the FSCS they do have a provisional fund. Reviewed on: 15th June 2016

I have a company pension through Standard Life. I find their website easy to use and can gather all the information I require within a few clicks. The early 'statement' they send through the post is also useful and enables me to plan for the future. Reviewed on: 28th March 2016

The account suits my needs at present and I personally find it easy to bank with Natwest. THe account was easy to open and didn't take a lot of time. The mobile app is very good for keeping track of my finances and is easy to use. Whenever I call into my local branch the staff are always helpful. Reviewed on: 24th December 2015

Products are ok - service can let the bank down

I found the Barclays website east to use to enable me to look at the different Cash ISA's that were available. I then went into branch to speak to a personal banker. In my opinion the process was carried out too hastily and key points (which I only knew about because I had researched online first) such as whether or not interest would be received at the end of the term, yearly or monthly were not raised by the personal banker. Although I would open an ISA with Barclays again, I would only do so after researching the product beforehand. Reviewed on: 26th August 2015

Very efficient

I am very please with the service provided by Nationwide. The customer service that was provided by my local branch was very efficient and I also find the Nationwide very easy to use, which allows me to easily make a comparison on which product is the most suitable for my situation. I decided to go for the fixed rate bond as I was pleased with the level of interest I would receive for the money I was placing in bond. There are a wide variety of bond terms available - for example 6 months, 1 year,. 2 year etc which allows someone to tailor a Nationwide bond to their needs. Reviewed on: 26th August 2015
