Very quick to remind that payment is due for premium but VERY slow in processing claim. I waited over 1 year to resolve claim following a leak in my kitchen

The proof of how good an insurance company is is how they deal with a claim. My experience of making a claim from Hamilton Fraser is not great. It took over one year to sort and would have taken much longer had I not chased them regularly. I don’t have much experience making claims but that seems excessive to me.

I made a claim on my insurance as I had some pipes which had slowly started to leak behind kitchen units. I had moved in about 6 years earlier and done a thorough damp proofing of the flat as well as replacing pipes. To cut a VERY long story short, it took Hamilton Fraser 13 months(!) to agree the claim and it would have been slower had I not called them regularly to chase. The only call I received was to ask for money for the renewal of the cover.
