Keeping it simple

I used to spend hours checking out car insurance when mine was due for renewal every year. That was until I switched to Tesco Bank Car Insurance. My premium has hardly changed over the last 4 years and I still receive the same benefits. The customer service is top notch and any changes can be made online, therefore not costing the usual admin fees. All in all, a great service. Reviewed on: 10th July 2020

Excellent service everyday

I rarely go into my local branch as use online banking mainly. Online services are second to none with an online account and mobile app to keep track of my spending regularly. When I do need to go into branch, I always receive a friendly welcome and fantastic customer service. Reviewed on: 3rd February 2019

Nothing hidden

Having had my home contents insurance with RIAS last year, when my renewal came up I was amazed to find there was hardly any increase in the cost for my second year's insurance, making them still cheaper than any other. Included in that is a great customer service who listen to your needs and process everything exactly when they are asked to. Hopefully next year's renewal quote will be just as competitive. Great Customer Service

Halifax are so proactive in fighting card fraud. My card was hacked and, before I noticed, Halifax contacted me to check an unusual payment out of my account. Missing money was back in my account on the same day, card cancelled and a new one issued immediately. Can't praise them enough. Reviewed on: 3rd January 2018

Worst customer service ever received

My whole family used to bank with Santander. When my mum became to ill to look after herself, having spent 3 months in hospital with a dementia illness, I went to Santander to discuss options and put a hold on all her accounts until I could gain official power of attorney. Despite having as much relevant paperwork as possible, ID for us both and paperwork from the hospital including a letter from her consultant, Santander staff would not even talk to me. It took months to go through the power of attorney process and when it was awarded, I returned to Santander who had closed all mum's accounts but were still continuing to accept her DWP payments into them, to pay off arrears they explained. It took 3 years, my moving all our accounts - mum's, my own and my son's child account - elsewhere and involvement from the financial ombudsman to get Santander to admit their fault and repay all the money they had basically stolen. I would not touch this company with a barge pole now and advise anyone else not to use them. Reviewed on: 15th November 2016

Best policy content at an affordable price
