Very easy to set up and administer the account with the ap. I like the notifications. The round up and % cash back is great, though I wish this were a permentant fixture for the account, not just for the first year for new customers. Reviewed on: 12th April 2024

Quick claims and great value, low fixed excess

5
Argos cover for max of I think £7.5k per condition, per year, but they also have a very low fixed excess and I have never had a copayment % added which is so beneficial to me and keeps me loyal to them. If my other pets didn't have pre-existing conditions I would move them to Argos too. Claims have been quick or super quick and can now be submitted online by me. My only negative points would be to say I would like the choice to have a slightly higher cover level. The premium does shoot up when your pet hits around 8 years, no matter if you've claimed much, just like all of the pet insureres, but for me it has now stayed pretty steady. The low excess and lack of % is such a huge bonus though. This is the pet insurance I always recommend to friends who don't have loads of spare cash for unexpected bills. Safe hands only let down by expensive co payment

5
I feel in Safe hands with Agria. They deal easily and usually very quickly with claims and direct claims. I like being able to submit the claims myself online. Queries are answered pretty fast as well, and I don't feel there is anything I need to worry about not being covered for. The policy premiums have gone up a lot as my pets have aged (but all insurances do) but actually this year they didn't thank goodness!! My only wish with Agria is that they stop or drastically reduce the co payment % for older pets as it makes it hard to budget and pay for expensive treatments, meaning sometimes I feel I have to put off some less urgent but needed things a little while to afford the conpayment % (If a vet bill is say £1500 for an operation, I would pay about £100 in excess and £300 in the co payment. Yes I can arrange a direct vlaim but nust still find that £400 up front, along with my montky premium of just over £100 for an older dog. Some of our pets are with another insurer, who's excess stays the same no matter the age and there is no extra 20%, although cover is a few thousand pounds less per year. I would rather pay a slightly higher premium and have a manageable fixed excess. In summary a very reliable service, that would be the holy grail of pet insurance if only they would change this part of their policies, or have a choice of policies with no added co payemnt.
