Appalling when you need to claim

All the good reviews for this company are from people who haven't needed to claim. The claims management is dealt with a different company called Global Response. Check out their reviews on trust pilot etc if you want to see how they deal with their customers. My dad had a policy with Goodtogo and fell ill and died on holiday. We have a claim outstanding with them since mid-November. It is straightforward and involves medical treatment approved at the time, a hotel extension agreed to whilst waiting for new flights, and repatriation costs we were given permission to pay and claim back so we could use our own choice of funeral director. We have provided receipts for all costs claimed. But this company is doing their utmost to avoid paying. They take weeks to answer emails if they reply at all. We've had to resend documents that we know they've already got on file. The list goes on. I have made a formal complaint and am waiting until I can go to the ombudsman so we can be reimbursed the £10k we are owed. Avoid this company, and all the other Ancile Insurance products, which are all administered by Global Response. Reviewed on: 7th March 2023
