A bank with ethics and great digital access

Easy to use current account via a mobile app, online banking, branch and access via Post Office. Via online banking the secure messaging is efficient and convenient. The account has an automatic £500 overdraft which is helpful. Good ethical bank, part of The Co-operative Bank. Reviewed on: 3rd April 2024

Straightforward banking - spots unusual transactions quickly to protect your money

I am happy with Smile Bank. The mobile app and online banking does the things I need it to. It isn't as up to date as many recently launched digital banks in terms of functions and operations so it needs to keep an eye on that. It is good at spotting unusual transactions and making you aware and checking things very quickly. Would be good for messaging to be possible on the app and not just via online banking. Smile was the leader and pioneer when it began in the late 90s and needs to keep on top of things but I remain a satisfied customer. Reviewed on: 25th July 2023

Great card with a great rate

A card that I can manage by app or online. Two level security which is reassuring. The bank is quick to spot unusual transactions and alert you. Very good interest rate and even lower if you also have a Smile Bank current account. Credit card interest rate is much lower than many other cards on the market. Reviewed on: 7th April 2023

Easy to use savings account

Pleased to have my savings with a bank that thinks of the bigger issues with its ethical policies. The big banks seem to be very slow and behind the lead of the smaller banks when it comes to the planet and to human rights. Reviewed on: 7th April 2023
