A similar issue occurred when I was purchasing land—I withdrew 13 million Naira, and despite providing all the necessary information, it took them two days to send my money. Yesterday, I traveled from Calabar to Lagos to purchase building materials and made a withdrawal of $10,100 using my Wise account. To clarify, Wise is a 3D-secure payment platform that requires mobile authorization before any transaction can be processed. I completed all the necessary authorizations and even provided extra information to show my trust and compliance with OhentPay's process. However, it has now been over 30 hours, and I am stranded in Lagos, borrowing money just to cover my expenses and meals. Meanwhile, my Wise account shows that the funds have already been released to them. Despite multiple follow-ups, they keep telling me to wait as my transaction is still under review. Efforts to seek clarity or even a basic update from their customer service resulted in a kafkaesque loop of automated responses and dead ends. Adding insult to injury, during one of the few interactions I had with their support team, I was assured of a resolution “within days,” only to be met with complete silence thereafter. It’s as if my transaction—and by extension, I as a customer—vanished into thin air. What’s more troubling, upon sharing my plight in a customer forum, I discovered a pattern of similar experiences among other users. Stories of transactions held without explanation, absent customer support, and a bewildering lack of accountability seem all too common. While I can only speak from my experience and what I’ve since learned from others, it’s clear that something is amiss. It’s more than 3days from Sunday and I haven’t received my payment. P.s I am a regular user of OhentPay which have been working well regardless of the delay but is sure it will come but this is the worst case. I plead with every future user or intending user DO NOT!
