I am v concerned about the safety of this Oval Money app as I have just been a victim of bank fraud via the app. Yesterday someone else used my business bank details to set up a DD and pay money into their own Oval Money e-savings wallet using this app. After getting no response from oval website as they do not have a help chat or phone number i spend 3 hrs on the phone to my bank and the issue is now with the fraud team. It appears from what little i have been able to find out that it is easy for anyone to set up a DD like this if they just have bank details. As in my case this was a business account these details are readly available. This issue needs addressing urgently. Oval Money appear to have inadequate proceedures underpinning their flash front end. To be frank everyone here is gobsmacked to think that such an easy way to defraud people of money via a bank could actually exist in this day and age! Yet still there is still no help to hand from Oval Money me just an email address support@ with no reply. It is clear that the owners of this business and app, focus their attention n PR and marketing, while not looking into a serious fundamental design fault which makes it easy for people to committ a criminal offence.
