Absolutely awful company.

Absolutely awful company. August 2021 a loan was taken out from Lendable in my name fraudulently. This was reported to lendable straight away, the process was very difficult. Once I filled in everything I needed to Lendable basically called me a liar, I spoke with some very rude and cheeky people on the phone, patronising me and again calling me a liar and trying to persuade me in to paying them. This was very upsetting at the time. After 3 years of fighting this with Lendable I had no choice but to go to the financial ombudsman, who helped me massively. The ombudsman made their final decision in February 2024 and decided that I was not liable for this loan and Lendable were at fault. They instructed Lendable to refund any payment they had taken from me and wipe this loan from my credit file. 6 months later and Lendable still have not done this, I have chased them and the ombudsman have chased and no response. The financial ombudsman had to then threaten to escalate the matter to the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). After the ombudsman advising this, of course now I have heard from Lendable. In summary, the company is awful and full of horrible agents, and you won’t be believed if it’s anything to do with fraud. I have waited since August 2021 to have this resolved, absolutely shocking and disgusting the way I have been treated. I had to totally put my life on hold due to this, I should be entitled to some sort of compensation. Reviewed on: 21st August 2024
