Stay away from them

This company does not deserve any star, in my opinion they should be shut down. By all means you should avoid them. But if you are already unfortunate to be dealing with them then all I can say is record every communications and request them to confirm your agreements on emails The person I dealt with was a Paul shiakallis who gave me a quote on what my repayments will be on a bridging loan be over our phone call. The quote seemed too good to be true but I accepted and requested him to confirm my repayments amount on email several times but he refused to do so though he agreed to confirm by email over the phone, luckily I recorded our calls and somebody in their team sent an email confirming the quote. after I had paid for surveyor and the loan has proceeded to underwriting then a girl called shanice patel who is from their underwriting team told me my repayments will in fact be over £10,000 the amount I was quoted. When I told her what me and Paul had agreed she insisted it wasn’t true and when I forwarded her the email she said I was wrong and what was said on the email meant something else. They still tried to push for me to move foward with the deal though I had been lied and missold by giving me a discount of £500. While all of them claimed I was lying about what quote I was given, they outright refused to talk to me and was rude and dismissive on the phone. Paul claimed he cannot remember our conversations and no longer wanted to speak to me . so I had no choice but to pull out of the deal and tried to seek justice through the financial ombudsman for my losses. I forwarded them our recorded conversations and the emails and westone was ordered to pay back the money I had spent and an additional £100 compensation for my distress. Westone refused to pay and the case escalated to a senior ombudsman who decided that though westone had given me misleading information I will not be entitled to a full refund because I am a limited company but westone should still pay the £100 compensation for my distress. While i was not rewarded all my money back I will say it is a win because i managed to avoid there deceiving predatory loan that would have cost me much more and potentially one of my houses if I continued with them. I will include the decision from the financial ombudsman. This is all public information if anyone wants to verify my claims you can find it on the financial ombudsman site.
