RIP OFF AND TERRIBLE SERVICE

1
I had boiler and heating cover since 2023 initially it was £5 per month and included an annual boiler service…. They scheduled the boiler service for April but then rescheduled it due to a high number of call outs. It was rescheduled a further 2 times to the point I didn’t actually get an annual service because it ended up happening over a year later. What i also hadn’t realised (my fault as it will be in the small print) is that their contract auto renewed and they had over doubled the price!, and guess what once the contract starts…. You can’t cancel it without paying the whole term! Even if you cancel the direct debit they send a passive aggressive email that said “oops! Looks like you cancelled your direct debit in error so we’ve taken the liberty to reinstate it” For 2025 I was more on the ball and knew I was cancelling because in 2 years of being with them I was entitled to 2 boiler services and only got 1!! I was also shocked to see their price had increased from £12.75 to £20.95 per month! (In 2023 I was paying £4.95). Tried to tell them I don’t want to renew via live chat to be told you have to call? Why? I’m just telling you I’m not renewing! I said it’s ok I’ll cancel the direct debit - response that doesn’t cancel the policy … I can’t be bothered looking it up but I’m sure if someone cancels their direct debit at the end of their policy and told you, you can’t just sign them up to a new direct debit at a higher price because they wouldn’t call instead of chat? I did phone because I don’t have time to keep arguing, got the hard sell (which is clearly why they want you to call) but after I said I feel like I’m being scammed by you and your making it impossible for me to get out of this endless agreement with shocking service and I wouldn’t renew my policy with you if it was free, they proceeded with the cancellation: Just avoid like the plague and if you really must take a policy through them either don’t do it via direct debit (because they want you to miss their emails and slyly keep putting the price up) or diarise it to check each year so they don’t scam you!
