Hostile showing agent

1
A complaint against a showing agent they employ: a Scottish man in his late fifties who showed me a top floor flat in granite terrace house in Aberdeen University area. 1. He called me at 16:30 claiming that I am booked at 17:00, to which I said it's a lie, to which he said is on his timesheet. 2. I took off from work and appeared there point 17:00 to be presented with his timesheet showing times 17:00-17:15 on the left hand side of my booking slot and a 17:30 printed right next to my full name. He blatantly lied to me that my booking was for 5 pm, to which: 3. I showed him Hutcheon & Co receptionist's confirmation stating 17:15. He said he does not know any Zoe and she does not work there. 4. He couldn't answer ANY basic question. Year of construction - nothing. Are all the floors wooden? Nothing. When was the boiler last serviced? No response; at the end he found the paper showing the date. He said all these answers will be provided to me after I buy it, to which I said it is not true - information like these have to be presented beforehand. 5. He was implying I am the not right buyer and this is not for me. Why would you need any showing agent, if their presence is worse than if you were there alone? Reviewed on: 9th April 2025

No knowledge to deal with pre-cast concrete

1
I have been dealing with a man called Andrew Steinbach from 17/12/24 to 30/01/25 during which he proved to have no plan, no strategy and no knowledge to deal with my mortgage case. Having my Nationwide mortgage refused by a surveyor as the house was built from "pre-cast concrete", I called other high street banks, which confirmed they also categorically refuse loans for this type of construction. I took advice from two mortgage advisors, and then I was directed to the third one, Andrew, by the seller. Andrew was posing as a confident specialist representing a company. However, I had a very bad opinion about him from the very beginning, as Steinbach was not listening, not taking my preferences under consideration (trying to force me to take long-term mortgage as if he was deaf I've a high deposit and a high paying job), which led me to the conclusion he is prejudiced against successful migrant women. Despite my reluctance towards small lenders, he insisted to make unfavorable application with Accord Mortgages, the company another advisor from Mojo confirmed as not issuing loans for "pre-cast concrete". Nevertheless, Andrew made it, but it took him from 18/12/24 to 6/01/25!!!: constantly made excuses why he is not available ("off", "Christmas", "family arrived"). We were supposed to have a call, he kept postponing it from 21st till 30th Dec '24. Wtf was this man doing if making a mortgage application takes 30min!? They applied with Accord only on the 9th Jan 2025. And guess what? 16/01 Accord REJECTED it. Steinbach's next ingenious imbecilic idea was to apply with Santander to which I reminded him I've already told him that I've had called Santander before I met Andrew and they're not lending for "pre-cast concrete". I also showed him news that Santander will depart from the UK market; after that he kept silent, then proposed I call Lloyds to remove some pennies unpaid charges from my credit record because "it'll boost your credit score immediately" (the score he screwed himself). And guess what? They didn't! Lloyds also confirmed that an overdraft made after an account was closed cannot be removed. Thus, you see, 100% of what this man told me was wrong. He possesses not enough education, no knowledge, plan or strategy to advise people on mortgages. His moves are chaotic, uniformed, uncoordinated, he can't even stick to the hour he proposed to call. Steinbach wasted two months of our lives: house is back on the market, sellers lost their dreamed countryside purchase, and I ended up with a destroyed credit score - all due to incompetence of Andrew Steinbach.
