Review of the RBS, Select Silver Current Account:

Customer Service is excellent

I've been a customer of RBS for over 15 years and have always found customer service to be excellent. However, the Select Silver Account costs £10 per month so it's not for everyone in my view. It works for me because I make use of the bundled travel insurance and mobile phone insurance, but I think anyone considering this product needs to look closely at the benefits to decide whether it is worthwhile for them. Customer service is excellent and taking out a mortgage was straightforward.

I found RBS mortgages website very slick and easy to use. When I took out my mortgage I had questions about how flexible they would be if I wanted to rent out my house in the future so I spoke to them at length about this and they were very helpful. I now manage my mortgage online and they send me an annual statement so my experience of RBS mortgages has been straightforward throughout. Reviewed on: 31st August 2015
