Review of the AllClear, Travel insurance:

So easy and quick

I had called and looked up so many insurers for our holiday last year. Either I couldn’t be insured due to my medication or my husbands copd was an issue even though he not on oxygen yet! Or we had to be put through somewhere else due to my husband having a near fatal heart attack in 2008. No matter which way I turned the prices were hiked up and up or it was far too expensive to start with. We had kind of resigned ourselves to the fact we were not going to be able to afford the insurance to travel(one quote was actually only £24 off the total price of the holiday) abroad or home, when a friend asked when it was we were looking to go away and where to. Hubby told her that due to health problems every insurer we had tried was far too expensive so we were going to have to leave it for another year at least. She asked if we minded telling her who we had called. I rattled off the company’s to her. Our friend sat back in the chair, smiled and said, ”So you haven’t tried Allclear then?. I told her I hadn’t ever heard of All clear. She said it’s so easy and although your health issues are gone into, the person on the other end of the line is so pleasant and patient. Nothing is too much trouble and before you know it you will be on your hols. We finished our coffee and chat and she left saying to give this company a call after all what did we have to lose? I thought about it and spoke to my hubby that evening. Next day over lunch hubby asked if I had called All clear yet? I said I hadn’t and went to get the phone. We were literally only on the phone about 5 mins and I felt so comfortable and totally relaxed speaking about our health issues. The person I spoke to said she had to just check one thing and she would call me back in about ten mins. Less than 10mins later she not only called us back but had sorted our insurance for our holiday saying it was a little higher than she first anticipated but that was due to my medication. My heart sank and thought here we go again. The lady then told me the price. The poor woman must have been deafened. I shrieked so loud and shouted for my husband who had by now gone into the garden. He came through to hear me apologising to the poor lady on the end of the line. Not only were we both insured despite our ills but cheaper than any other company.!!!! If I could have crawled down the line and hugged her I would have done for sure. Our holiday was unfortunately cancelled to to a sudden death in the family and this year my health has not been good for me to travel. However we are now looking to book for this time next year. This time I know which insurer I’m going with. Thank you happy but deafened lady at All clear. Reviewed on: 13th September 2019
