Just about worth it

I've had very poor experience with Nationwide when making a claim on the mobile phone insurance element of the FlexPlus account in the past. It was so bad that I left them altogether. Since being back my experience has been neutral. I'm not pleased at the price hike but I do at least qualify for the fairer share payment Reviewed on: 26th February 2025

Review of the Hastings Direct, Car Insurance:

Initially cheap, but then they misled me when making a claim

Hastings Direct were initially cheap compared with other providers but when I called for advice upon returning to the car to see a trolley dent in it, they misled me into making a claim (in their words I was given "incomplete information"). After going through the complaints procedure and Ombudsman I received a total of £150 compensation which is nowhere near enough to cover me for the rise in premiums in the 5 years in which I will have to declare it.
