TOP RANKING RUBBISH CUSTOMER SERVICE

1
It would be hard to have worse customer service from a bank. The Ulster Bank has gone way and beyond ordinary lousy service. Over the two months the bank has been unable to rectify their own error in deleting my access to withdrawing funds, ie. they deleted my linked account, or for some reason the withdrawal system does not work as it should. I have been told that I need a card and card reader. I have been told that this account does not have a card and card reader. So far the bank has plonked £50 and £80 into my account for the lack of service they have given me. This week they wrote to say that they understand my complaint but that I can order a card reader online. And hey! did the complaints person actually look at anything? Clearly not. I decided to phone on the complaints telephone number in the complaints response. I waited for the call to be answered for 2hours and 20 minutes. Every 30 seconds the loop tape apologises and says their staff are busy, please thank you for waiting. Dream on. The complaints department closes at 6pm. Bboom. Bboom. It was 6pm when I gave up. I have written now to the CEO. She's clearly busy not looking into customer service as I haven't heard a peep. Next step: will write again to the CEO and give her a final warning. Should that fail, then I send all this to the Ombudsman. Reviewed on: 15th December 2023
