I have found dealing with esure easy. The staff are friendly and answer my queries really well. I have also found their online services easy to use. I have not yet had to make a claim but reading reviews elsewhere on the web I am confident that they are a good provider.

The app is a bit clunky. The interest rate is competitive. Annoying you have to use card readers. Staff are friendly and helpful. Nice that everyone is a member rather than shareholder. More branches than other providers.

I tell the legal expenses that I have a boundary dispute and they say we don’t cover that. Even though other providers do. I then phone their 24 hour legal helpline and find that it is not really 24 hours as I ring late at night and they tell me no legal adviser can take your call. Can we ring you tomorrow. When I do get to talk about my legal problem they will only discuss topics which their legal expenses policy will cover. Even though all I want is telephone legal advice. When I have been with other providers they still let me discuss legal topics which their legal expenses policy does not cover as it is just telephone advice. Which ? Has given this provider a low score for its home insurance in comparison to other providers. Yet apparently it is a Defaqto rated provider which I find hard to understand. Needless to say when my policy comes up for renewal I will switch to another provider who actually looks after their customers and is there when you need. I just hope that my house doesn’t burn down. Otherwise they might say sorry we don’t cover that !

I think the 1% interest and cashback is competitive. I feel that the customer service could be a bit quicker to respond to queries when using the app. It would be better if they had branches and chequebooks.
