Bonus for signing up

They accepted me for a 20 month interest free credit card through snoop app. Also got a nice 20£ voucher for applying through snoop. The app is identical with HSBC app...which is not a bad thing. Had no problems with the PIN, notifications and registering my credit card Reviewed on: 28th November 2024

Basic things not up to standard

HSBC was the only bank which accepted me when i first came to UK so i felt obliged to show them some loyalty for a few years. After 5 years i decided to take my business somewhere else. Their joint account offered 2% interest while other banks were offering 4%. Transferring money to my stocks and shares ISA was always a problem as sometimes i had to repeat the process because something crashed mid way. I did not have the same issue with Monzo. My wife had a very hard time transferring euros to her mom's account with HSBC but with Revolut it was a breeze Reviewed on: 28th November 2024

Good for everything

Efficient. Good at organising your money with pots(with decent interest i may add). Flawless when transferring money to other accounts - i had issues with transferring money to my investengine ISA using HSBC but Monzo worked every time. Also it can link your mortgage with your account and tell you how much equity you've built up - very nice feature Reviewed on: 27th November 2024

Feels expensive

Very high fees. Put 100£ in various etfs to test the waters. 15£+ per year charges per ETF. That is a 15% charge per year for small ammounts of money. For 2000£ i was charged 2.4£ a month so not too bad but that would amount to 28+£ a year. Bottom line..feels kind of expensive Reviewed on: 10th April 2024

Good cashback for grocheries and decent cashback for amazon purchases. It's easy to make the payments and the app is slick Reviewed on: 10th April 2024
