My son’s car was stolen by a neighbour last year August; he drove into a bridge and iit is a write off. The insurance; got you covered is refusing to pay cos they are waiting for the police report. The police said it could take 2-3 months cos they are waiting for cps. The dna was found on the airbags but insurers insist on the police report before they can progress with the claim. My son is still paying £234 monthly subs even though the car was a write off. We sent an official complaint and Cma has directed us to the insurance/ police. The police cannot produce the report because the perpetrator said no comments. We’re now stuck cos my son has no means of going to work etc.
